New Year New Projects!
MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY
Christmas holidays always lift my spirits in a big way. I like everything about it and I specially love it when the weather is cold and grey outside as it makes Christmas decorations and home feels so magical and cozy. It make you just want to stay in to bundle up and share laughs and hot drinks with friends or (and) family.
I like nothing more than using white flowers as a Christmas decoration scheme.
#TBT Below are images from a holiday story I created a few years back for Billie Magazine shot by Matt Albiani at his New York apartment.
Whether the elegance of white amaryllis stems complemented by loose kum quat branches in tall vases or the sweetness of loads of paperwhites in distressed bronze vases or flowerpots. The smell of the paperwhites flowers mixed with the citrus smell of the kumquat is amazing and so much better than any perfumed candle (even though I do love my Cire Trudon Odalisque candles) specially when you host a dinner. Nothing is worse to me than a very strong candle scent meddling with "la saveur des mets"
HOT & PINK
Totally in love with this pair of shoes.
They have this little "je ne sais quoi" which makes you happy just looking at them. Fashion does this to me sometime.

I wish I could share it with these amazing people standing up to protect the beauty of America vast expanse of untouched wilderness. Thank vogue.com for such a great story!
I believe in color therapy.
To lighten up the mood after a rather depressing week I decided to lighten up my home. This pale blue tone feels refreshing as well as soothing and comforting. Looks like the perfect color for my bathroom and I think I might be ordering it from Farrow & Ball this weekend.
Election day in the US and this is how it feels right now. So much at stake!
THE CASE ABOUT CHINTZ
I love how quickly you can add character and drama to a room with chintz fabric. To take it away from stuffy granny territory I mix it with unexpected things like modern art pieces, high tech objects, brutalist furniture and so on . Either bright and romantic when paired with light colors or dark and sexy with slightly poisonous floral undertone when paired with darker shades it always works.
Truth being said, I'm a total sucker for chintz.

A French homage to Native American greatness. Everything about this scarf inspires me.
VISITING VERSAILLES THIS SUMMER WAS LIKE...
... stepping in an very old and strange Alain Resnais movie -- more specifically L' Ete Dernier A Marienbad. The magnificence , the summer heat and Olafur Eliasson installation teleported me in another dimension for a day.
